Bloody impressive project getting that stretch of country refenced. Cost doesn't seem entirely ridiculous either.
Question is ( to you Oz guys ) how effective and helpful to sheep farmers will this be in the long run ? The fence proponents are convinced but what's the truth ?

Hunting.... it's not everything, it's the only thing.

I don't think its effective at all. Same with the rabbit fence, bloody rabbits were on both sides.

Very effective along with the usual control methods. The next valley over from me run a lot of sheep whereas we are a cattle valley and many of the sheep men have seven hot wires for fencing, without it there would be no sheep.
Exclusion fencing works with the correct maintenance.
