I have imported into the States from NZ in the past but now need a new firearms exporter located in NZ. Would anyone have a recommendation as to who may be shipping guns out of the country currently? Thank you.

Steve,
Reloaders Supplies in Auckland, NZ is one business that will arrange documentation and export for you to the USA.

Email Scott Stonex, scott@reloaders.co.nz
I have never shipped any firearms with these guys so this suggestion is not an endorsement but I regularly deal with them for other supplies and get very good service and fair prices.
I am sure there will be others but I don't know who offhand. You could google Gun City NZ, a sizeable NZ retailer, and make enquiries also.
Hope this helps.

NZ does not require an Export permit for personal firearms. We just need a re-import permit if we plan to take a rifle out of the country for a hunt and bring it back. The whole process is very easy and user friendly. Customs staff are very helpful even if they have little experience.

If it is a commercial shipment, they will need a dealers license rather than the regular A category hunter's gun license.

I just imported a rifle I bought on Holt's UK. The paperwork and shipment with agents was very efficiently done. I was just amazed that the guys were open at 6 pm in the airport and allowed me to take the rifle when the guy responsible for releasing it was not there and had to delegate the responsibility!

I know a collector / dealer who brings in 50+ guns from Europe every few years and also sells to collectors around the world. He sold an amazing collection of 19th century rifles, shotguns & drillings with the Kaizer's gold crest on many of them - to an American collector. He is a real gentleman and I can introduce you to him. Just PM me your contact details.
