I got to hand it to those blokes who organized this auction.

Apparently, everything had a reserve just under what it would have made in the local gun shops! My dealer mate never went and wasn't even interested in bidding as he said he thought the prices would go through the roof. He could sell many of the "new" guns for less than what they made.

And waiting up to an hour to pay for something. That would be the pits.

1,600 registered bidders.

At least Dawn will live out her last years in comfort.

I was told that the new guns that never sold went back to the importer with no lose to them.

I liked Bob a lot but he proved beyound all doubt that he was a damn smart business man, even from beyound the grave.

Bet the bloke is laughing at the moment.

Wonder whether it cleared the million?

I regret being kinda sucked in a way a few weeks ago but that is part of life. Funny world we live in.

Thats life.

Didn't attend and glad I saved myself the drive. Was a couple of Greener shotguns I was interested in however.

1600 bidders, wow. Glad I saved the fuel of an ten hour drive at $1.30 per litre.

I was interested in a 220 Swift he owned (a No 1) but it wasn't advertised at all. A few guys at the gun club said quite a few were sold to (or kept by) family and friends.

SMLE, a PM mate.
