I am about to put in an order for a number of these rifles. My customers have asked questions about which mount is best. Ideas? Thanks Ross

Greybeard You need extended rings to obtain correct eye relief as the dovetail on the Baikal receiver is quite short. APB

GBB, As gryphon1 suggests, I would also like to know what price these Baikals will be selling for ? I read a test on them recently in one of the magazines, could`ve been Guns & game but I forget exactly which one. Anyway the results were quite good according to the author & I was thinking of buying one of these Baikals in 7.62 x 39. Regards Morton If it sounds too good to be true, It usually is !

I would need to be getting about $330 to cover costs and make a few $$$. That would be the price here. Freight would be more. The 7.62 x 39 are in stock. Looking at a wait for the .223's that I think most people around here will be after. They were written up in the Australian Shooter (the old ASJ) and were given a great review. But I haven't handled one yet. I know a bloke who got one and when I was talking to hime @ the gun club, he was raving over its accuracy. The .222, 7.62 x 39, .308 are in stock at the importers. I was going to get a .222 for myself but already own a Model 70 and the number of my firearms is increasing pretty quickly as it is so I think I'll wait for a .223
