I love the little ones and the realy big ones. Its the sensible practicle calibers in the middle which bore me ,but get used the most. An upcoming project of mine will be a 14/221 built on a Sako vixen 461 when finances allow. Should make a good crow gun and general fun gun to turn up at the range with. When people always expect you turn lug out some form of bigbore ,they will be a bit suprised to see you bring out a little 17 or even a 14 cal.

I use mine on pussycats. When I'm calling foxes these days I get about 2 cats to 1 fox. Best walk-a-bout rifle for small game including rabbits & ducks. Just catch them napping on the bank and blow their head off; saves getting your feet wet!

BAW I have my fathers 17rem on a Sako action that he bought from PO Ackley when he was in the US getting Ackley to build him a 270win on a Mark X this was in the early 70's. Ackley had built the rifle for his daughter, I have not fired the rifle in over 15 years plan to turn it into a 222 or 223 one day. Really do not see a use for a barrel burner like that unless you are shooting foxes for skins.
