The time has come to rally the troops... In the coming Federal Election the Australian Shooters Party will be fielding Senate candidates in QLD, NSW, VIC and South Australia. In NSW The Shooters Party has made a significant impact with their TWO SITTING UPPER HOUSE MEMBERS and the desire is in the future (if not at this election) to have our own senator in the Federal arena. This is your chance to support the people who support you - firearm owners and outdoorspeople... we have made an impact in NSW - lets do it nationally now!! AUSTRALIAN SHOOTERS PARTY CANDIDATES ANNOUNCED The Australian Shooters Party has announced its candidates for the Federal Election on November 24. The Party will field candidates for the Senate in New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria and South Australia. In New South Wales, the Party will run a joint ticket with the Fishing and Lifestyle Party; and will run in its own right in Queensland, Victoria, and South Australia. Candidates are: New South Wales: Robert Borsak, Bob Shaw, Jim Muirhead, Andrew Hestelow and Tom Morgan Queensland: Paul Feeney and John Hrststich Victoria: Brett Parker and Matt Graham South Australia: John Hahn and Bas Borun The Australian Shooters Party is a national party, and is the Federal equivalent of The Shooters Party, and it: Actively opposes the extreme greens; Supports the conservation efforts of hunters, land owners and land managers in Australia; Promotes and supports hunting of feral animals on public land such as state forests and National Parks; Supports the need to control and prevent the uncontrolled spread of pest plants and weeds on the same public lands. It also has policies mainly mirroring those of The Shooters Party, relating to firearms ownership and use; individual freedoms; resistance to government interference in people’s lives, and, in particular, resistance to the unreasonable and draconian restrictions being placed on recreational fishers – restrictions similar to those already placed on shooters. (Press Release by John Tingle) Those policies can be seen in a separate page on this website. Heard on ABC radio last night that Labour and the Greens are going to do a deal for each others preferences. ------------------------------ A mate of mine has just told me he's shagging his girlfriend and her twin. I said "How can you tell them apart?" He said "Her brother's got a moustache!"

Is Rudd a positive or negative choice for Aussie shooters? Frank "I don't know what there is about buffalo that frightens me so.....He looks like he hates you personally. He looks like you owe him money." - Robert Ruark, Horn of the Hunter, 1953 NRA Life, SAF Life, CRPA Life, DRSS lite

Fjold, I don't trust Rudd or his offsider Gillard with anything to do with firearms or hunting, Labor has proved in the past that they are anti-firearms/hunting due to their past state level restrictions on law abiding firearm owners, if Howard nee jack boot johnny gets back in it will be only a matter of a few years if not months before he brings the hammer down on shooters, I'm fed up with being labeled as a criminal or nut case because I own firearm and enjoy hunting, but criminals and thugs don't come into the equation with these ill informed pollies, we are made out to be the bad guys, had a gut full mate, so who does one vote for, fuck knows but it wont be the major parties..,,

Nobody can be as bad as Howard. Rudd is patron of a shooting club in Queensland, I think it's Toowoomba.

Regardless of your political persuasion, that is a good point "NOBODY CAN BE AS BAD AS HOWARD" - he has done more to destroy the shooting sports than any other politician in Australia's history. He is our No.1 enemy and HE MUST GO. It scares the daylights out of me that there are many Australian shooters who will believe the Liberal party lies about their economic management and will vote for that sickening little prick. Australian shooters need to wake up and not vote Liberal and not vote National, either, as the Nationals are just Liberal party yes-men. In case you are wondering about my political persuasion, following this little rant, I used to be a one-eyed Liberal supporter but Howard destroyed that and I will NEVER vote Liberal again, they will never regain my trust and I am glad that there are now shooters party representatives, at both State and Federal level, otherwise I would have no-one to vote for! Bob I share your opinion of Howard, but what do you think of the Senate preference deal of Labor/Greens/Democrats? ie where they plan to exchange preferences between each other? Is an upper house with a strong combined Labor / Greens / Democrats vote a good or bad thing for shooters in Australia? We all know the Greens and Democrats are very anti-gun, worse than the Libs.

Hi all Little Johnny "Jackboot"Howard has really hurt the Aussie Shooter,I remember when he came to Sale in Victoria wearing body armor under his suit and saying sorry to us shooters, but it will make Australia safer to take our guns from us,well you all know that was bull shit. The Greens want to put me out of work,i work in the Timber industry and logs are getting very scarce to get,do you think that Bob Brown would care?,no. And then he wants to put an end to the Coal industry, humpf! I cannot say what I'm thinking for I would be banned off this forum for saying it,but we need Bob Brown like I need a hole in the head, they are all bad the major parties,I know I'll vote for the Shooter's Party here in Victoria. It boils down to Howard must go,but will Rudd be any better?will he do a deal with the Greenies, take my guns away and my lively hood, probably, makes me sick!!! Dale. Dale mate, I agree with all you said, as a law abiding citizen I lost most of my legally owned firearms due to howard's jerk off bullshit buyback too "make Australia safe" policy. as I have said before Labor/Liberal can go and get F&*ded, but they will get back in I can see that but this time I will be at the front protesting my rights to use and own firearms...

As the above poster points out, everyone has TWO votes, one for the lower house where Government is formed and the other for the SENATE or Upper house. For Howard to loose the election votes can be cast against him and his government in the Lower House. But we do not want to the Greens to win Senate places, so be careful how you vote for the Senate. Any Labor preferences left over from their quota will go to the Greens or Democrats. If the Aust Shooters Party is selected the preference will not go to the Greens.

Best wishes from a Commonwealth colleague! Get organized and fight, it's the only way. We, in Canada, have been through the same tough times that you folks have, but we are better organzied and funded today than we were 15 years ago. I hope and trust we can keep the devil from the door! Fight the good fight and never give up.

Kevin the Chicken Trevor the farmer was in the fertilised egg business. He had several hundred young layers (hens), called 'pullets' and eight or ten roosters, to fertilise the pullets’ eggs. Trevor kept records and any rooster that didn't perform went into the soup pot and was replaced. That took an awful lot of his time so he bought a set of tiny bells and attached them to his roosters. Each bell had a different tone so Trevor could tell from a distance, which rooster was performing. Now he could sit on the porch and fill out an efficiency report simply by listening to the bells. The farmer's favourite rooster was Kevin, and a very fine specimen he was too, but on this particular morning Trevor noticed Kevin's bell hadn't rung at all! Trevor went to investigate. The other roosters were chasing pullets, bells-a-ringing. The pullets, hearing the roosters coming, would run for cover but to farmer Trevor's amazement, Kevin had his bell in his beak, so it couldn't ring. He'd sneak up on a pullet, do his job and walk on to the next one. Trevor was so proud of Kevin, he entered him into the Brisbane Exhibition and Kevin became an overnight sensation among the judges. The Result? The judges not only awarded Kevin the No Bell Piece Prize but they also awarded him the Pulletsurprise as well. Clearly Kevin was a politician in the making: Who else but a politician could figure out how to win two of the most highly coveted awards on our planet by being the best at sneaking up on the populace and screwing them when they weren't paying attention. Do you know a Pullitician called Kevin?............. Regards, Bob Regards, Bob.
