I see Southland kept the Ranfurly Shield again. Looked like a good game in crap weather conditions. And theres a Tri-Nations clash in South Africa tonite as well - but not the All Blacks . ________________________ Old enough to know better | |||

Bought a season ticket (again) - Southland are a unusual team but as a bottom line they are always engaging - no more so than their win over the Harbour boys today - typical in that you can never be sure if they will actually win till there is a final whistle ! | |||

Southland is a bit like Taranaki on the field - when they are good thay are very good but then they can be so bad that you wonder why they bother. At least provincial rugby has a decent crack at winning the Ranfurly shield these days since the big money Super 14 teams dont et their players back into the local teams . ________________________ Old enough to know better | |||
