take allways a look into the drivel forum because they have dirty jokes and I learn a lot about wankers and things like this. So my question is: are aussies more intelligent than the guys from new zealand. Gentleman, please don't vote yes because your friend is an aussies and you like to help him. be honestly and vote only for the aussies if you realy think he is more clever. If you be an aussies , look in the mirror and ask youself if you be so intelligent the drivel forum allways show. of course you can vote for yourself. last question: need the drivel forum realy the loser from accuratereloading.

That's a question which has been pondered throughout millenia pwm.Studies from internationally recognised and emminately qualified deep thinkers have concluded that, yes, indeed the mighty Aussie is of superior intellect to our beloved but unfortunate kiwi bretheren.I believe the rationnal in this conclusion is self evident when you consider that these people moved onto an island where only a 100 years ago the native population would eat you!!!We only had to cop the odd nulla nulla up the side of the head and dodge the occasional spear.

As a research psychologist, I believe I'm eminently qualified to comment on this one. Aussies and Kiwis are fundamentally equal in intelligence, with Aussies showing a slight lead in most areas that really matter, such as choice of sexual partner (SP). Most (but not all), Aussies prefer their SP to be bi-pedal, whereas many Kiwis are comfortable with the occasional quadruped, as long as the fleece is long enough to hang onto at the critical moment. Unlike many of our Northern Hemisphere counterparts, we share a common distrust of and disregard for politicians, and in any event, treat them with the reverence they deserve - ie, NIL!! We have fought side by side (and continue to do so) in many battles for foolhardy politicians who have been more interested in promoting their own political/economic agendae than we care to think about, but we're mates, and mates look after each other. Hence the ANZAC tradition. We share a similar (sort of) heritage, being relatively recent arrivals to inhospitable and remote environments, and well, after all, we're neighbours! A key indicator of intelligence is a sense of humour, and the ability to understand irony, satire, etc (seriously!!), and not take yourself too seriously. Given that Aussies and Kiwis are veterans at taking the piss out of each other, without anyone getting seriously offended, I reckon that puts Aussies and Kiwis at the top of the IQ list worldwide, with Aussies having the slight edge!

rugeruser;you are obviously are learned man and someone who holds that most esteemed position around a campfire(the bloke who possesses the prodding stick to perfectly adjust each burning timber)whilst the plebs listen in awe as all truths are revealed.A mantle not to be taken lightly!Come on over Kiwis and warm yourselves, unsheath that rapier like wit but be careful not to nick yourselves. The dim witted can go to bed early.Impartial observers are always good too. Alas my friend , I do see the intended humour in your post . I just dont see how any one nationality can claim to be more intelligent than another on the basis you have used . If you want to set up some sort of trial based on a fair playing field for a cross section of your society and any other you want to test then fine . Making the usual schoolground suppositions doesnt prove anything , 'cept how immature you are as a nation - after all you elected Bob Hawke as PM twice , and then John Howard as well . Cant say as that is a sign of intelligent life.... I personally beleive we are what we are , the product of our environment and upbringing . To compare me with you doesnt account for any environmental aspects , yet I would say I am far more intelligent than any Aussie , and any Aussie will say they are more intelligent than I. Ultimately it doesnt matter , we all do the best we can and all the kiwis in Australia have raised the IQ of both countries and that cant be changed . We are what we are and should appreciate each other for that , not use it as a stick to beat each other with .

Absolutely mate , but then your politicians as well as ours only do what the World Bank/IMF tells them to do , so the names are irrelevant as are the party politics .

mix3006, yes, the mantle of learnedness is indeed burdensome, however I willingly shoulder its weight with a great sense of priviledge and responsibility, and at times, awe, at the profoundness of my knowledge. Being the bearer of all truth confers a a sense of humility that can only be guessed at by lesser mortals, who have been known to enter a state of torpor when being fortunate enough to be recipients of my deep and meaningful pontifications!

I think all gentlemen that frequent this forum are of equal intelligence really, it's just that when the urge to scribe arises the brain that drives it can be in either 1st, 2nd, third neutral or reverse gear!

Muzza, I have subscribed to that theory since the early 80's. Getting the internet has really been interesting and sure hasn't changed my views to the contrary! derf
