Read the book, watched the interviews with him and he never stopped fighting for his troops. Can't say I see a lot of that these days. The battle of Long Tan was a great combined effort by the Aussies and Kiwi artillery (With Kiwi Maurie Stanley calling in the bombs) https://www.msn.com/en-au/news...51975ba3ba244f&ei=14 Modify message ------------------------------ A mate of mine has just told me he's shagging his girlfriend and her twin. I said "How can you tell them apart?" He said "Her brother's got a moustache!"

I never heard of him… the sad state of history education that they tend to ignore our allies acts of heroic gallantry. It sounds like he is what everyone would want in a commanding officer. Thanks for posting this.

The battle of Long Tan and Coral-Balmoral are entrenched into our military history. Sadly the troops didn't get the recognition they deserved even from their own government. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...ral%E2%80%93Balmoral ------------------------------ A mate of mine has just told me he's shagging his girlfriend and her twin.
