Now I don`t want to alarm anybody with this website

http://www.guncontrol.org.au/index.php?article=4

but we all should be aware of the tireless workers over there at Gun control Australia toiling away quietly while alot of the shooting public have completely forgotten about them.
They do not rest, ever.
One question I do have, if the hits they get on their website count for publicity then maybe we shouldn`t visit their website, catch 22 I suppose.
It appears that some of their previous ideas were a little ahead of the times so they have re-worded their demands slightly, easier for us apathetic types to swallow I suppose, well not I for one.
Most of what they are proposing is unworkable & impractical I reckon, but who knows, with Gun controls continuing efforts & lobbying of governments maybe they will make some more ground & convince a politician into believing the rubbish they promote.

I sincerely hope they don`t.

The best way to counter this sort of thing is on a united front and in Aus this is the SSAA. Anybody who has an interest in shooting sports and is not a member should give themselves an uppercut and not bitch when gun controls get even tighter.

We can also have great influence in NSW state parliament by making sure we get a rep back in there. This is really simple. Vote for your preferred party in the Legislative Assembly but give the Shooters Party the tick in the Legislative Council. This is the same as voting for your preferred party in the Federal House of Reps but controlling what they do in the Senate.

John Tingle has been a fantastic rep for us. We need to make sure we have somebody there in March 2007 to continue to protect our sport.

To quote the latter-day Moses,

"They can have my gun when they pry it from my cold, dead fist!"

the late Mr. Charleton Heston. God rest his soul!
