we have such a system in krautland, you need allways a licence for buying a new gun. this is a very big problem for the man who likes old guns and obsolete cartridges. this guns are in many times unlawful as a sporting or hunting gun for different reasons.and when you have a special collector license you havn't the rigth to shot this guns.

I know that someone in Canada should not comment adversely but maybe it is about time for you guys to show your govt. that you are fed up, again. derf

So far the requirement has been pretty meaningless, at least that is my experience.

I understand Vic. already limits multiple rifles of the same calibre.
