I decided I've had enough of working my guts out most weekends. I'm going FISHING.
Looked over the gear this arvo; ummmm 20years has taken it's toll on the old Alvey's and the Butterworth. Down to the fishing tackle place, "Alvey 650, yes sir $148, Wilson rod $208". No thanks I'll stick with the old ones.
OK a box of No2 Mustard hooks. "Yes Sir $2.90" But there is only 20 hooks in that, I said a box, like a gross, you know 144. "Don't sell in big packs any more, you'll have to buy 5 little ones. Right. I'll need 60 sinkers '0' size. Yes Sir they come in packs of 10.
Then there's bait, new line, fish bag etc!
Bloody Hell, I could buy a bloody good rifle for the same cost as all this shit and then damned well stand on the bank and shoot the bastards.
Aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh !!!!!!!!

BAW,
Now you know why so many fisherman practise "catch and release" fishing. Must be cheaper? Your a bad boy too, noticed you didn't factor in "fishing licence".
Cheers...

What we have there Bad Ass Wallace is a serious case of not networking, I Hunt and Fish,,
matter of fact I'm going out to sea with a mate tomorrow (Sat) morning..
My Lee pot is also used to cast sinkers ..
Mustad 1/0 is as big as i use in the hook dept, I only fish with 12lb line max for Mackeral out at sea and generally use 6 lb line My fishing gear cost me $60 bucks reel (second hand off a neighbour) Rod free mate caught it ($120 dollar Daiwa), Our Armourer is a Fish Nazi and I get lures off him for free ( He has a Lathe and I keep him supplird with Stainless Steel )
Network baby Network..

I'll have to find out and let you know!
BAW, I recommend that you do what all outdoorsmen do and start putting inflated prices on all game that is brought home...'wow, this 12 inch fish would have cost us $xxx at the supermarket, good thing I caught it....' then you might feel better.
Or just watch fishing shows on tv...once you realise they only speak in monosyllables (wow, ooowwee, gosh, cool) it is pretty entertaining and you don't get sunburn.
