I took a bucket of rabbit guts and skins and dumped them near the burrows yesterday to feed the birds and today an old bird as seen had already dealt with them, even plucking the fur to eat the skins. My dogs ate 20 heads lol.
As I tried to get closer it flew off to be bombed by territorial Magpies.

Earlier I did a bit of deer videoing.

Then back home I stopped for a few roo pics

Thanks George,as much as I would like its a tough game living off pics. I need a pic of a Congolese dinosaur to get ahead.

Agree with George, not easy getting good pictures of birds in flight. On the other hand it's not easy turning a hobby into a career. I've hunted for a living but you can't keep a family on it. (unless you are a better shot than me perhaps?)

Yes its tough going as they are a moving target and if the light is shit the camera will struggle.

Great photos!

I have seen two Wedgies hunt a rabbit, wish I had a photo. Think they got him as the went over edge of escarpement and were gone to ground.

You live in a lovely area!

I too saw that just once in my time. A rabbit took off and an eagle swooped from the top of a dead tree,I just missed the actual grab due to a rise in the ground but saw the bird with the rabbit moments later.

Gryph these two were working the rabbit back and forth, never seen anything like it. Wasn't just a snatch and grab.

Got a photo of an eagle taking a snake in a river we were walking in in Tanzania. Eagle was eating something on a gravel bar ahead of us and I took some photos as it flew off, looked at photos later and could see a green snake in its talons. High zoom camera.

The colour and clarity of your photos is great!
