They were supposed to be going to M98 a month ago exactly - 26th October M98 sent his details to Nitro?
So that left only a couple of people to view them b4 Easy should have received them?

OK my vote is for Easy_Rollins to do the "distribution" next year in 2006. As I won't be doing it. One reason is I always take too long to send them out, second is I questioned why a thread about "muslim terrorists" was shifted off the Australian hunting thread when so many threads are off-topic. I think this did not go down well at all from the PM I received from him. Guess it is a touchy subject. So the way is wide-open for someone else to request it and send it around. No big deal.

It is always easy for a "fence sitter" to snipe from the "sideline". So seeing he has volunteered with his big mouth he can do it next year. Probably do a better job too as I have too many irons in the fire.

M98 does not have a DVD player and has asked me to make him up a 'personal' set of tapes. I will deal directly with M98 about this.

The DVDs that have gone out to "T3Shooter" are a full set of 2005 DVDs (4) and a full set of 2004 DVDs (4). Around about 10 hours of viewing. If when T3 views the 2005 set (only) and if there is any faults I will see if that can be remedied.

The 2004 set may still have faults and there is nothing I can do about this as the ones I received had faults. In anycase any interested member of AR that wanted a set of 2004 DVDs could have got one directly from Saeed as he gave them away by the thousand on the African forum (that offer closed).

Thanks to the Kiwi AR member that sent to me the full set of 2003 DVDs. I will see if I can run off a copy of the 2005 set if he doesn't get the NZ copies in the meantime (see below).

I will still try to make up a separate set for NZ. I may send the 2005 ones separately from the 2004 set as I finished the 2005 set a long time ago but didn't get the 2004 set finished until last week. I only get to (local) town about once a week during business hours. In the previous years when I had them commercially copied I found I only get to the city every couple of months this time of the year. Excuses.

T3 should have the sets shortly.

Last year all the DVDs that were sent out were sent out for free by me. The originals did not work well (ie I had to manually stop and start the copying process over the errors) so neither did the copies. The people that didn't get them, never contacted me at all, nor did I get any thanks for the ones sent out (maybe a couple of persons - I forget which year that was). The year before also I basically sent them all out for free as I forgot to bank the cheques! Only just found the folder this year when looking for an address. I will still try banking them however.

Hope you enjoy them when you get them. Sorry about the delay. No real excuses.

As for the order of distribtion I think the order should stay as the first come first sered on the thread gets it sent to them next, not some subjective new order as one member suggested.

Good luck and good viewing.

Thanks for the update. Obvoiusly myself and others were curious as to what was happening.
It is very rare that voluntary work is ever sufficiently recognised.
Usually you have to be content with the self satisfaction.
Just to clarify - T3 has the tapes or will soon have the tapes? Your post mentions both these scenarios.
We should definitely stick to the original distribution plan so we know what is happening and who to contact etc.

If there is anything I can do to get more copies out, let me know. My first few weeks of the school year are not really full on and if you want to send me CD's to copy and send out, no problem.

I really hope I never came across as ungrateful.

T3 should soon have the DVDs, as I sent them by registered post this morning. I said to him they would go out last Friday when I was last in town (during business hours) but had a few unexpected things happen that morning and had to leave in a rush and forgot to take them with.

I am hopeless sending these things out and so have decided to stop with this year's. I have a lot of other DVD work to do of my own and also many other projects and am going to concentrate on them.

For 2006 hopefully someone else will wish to do it.

I have no problem with you guys questioning where it was as it is out late but is in circulation now. I do have a problem with the "vapourware" insult from the "platelicker"

Other than sending copies to those I have already promised, I am finished with the matter.

Good luck. Hope you get some shooting or hunting in before Christmas. I intend to.

Thanks again for the prompt reply.
I am not techno literate enough to take this on next year as I have a DVD player but wouldn't know where to begin especially if the originals have problems.Otherwise I would give it a go.
BTW - where in the Barossa are you?
I don't get down there very often but would like to catch up 4 a brew next time.
I used to work 4 SCW here in Qld sales.
Been doing my own thing with distribution last few years but am about to take a break from the industry. One of my current clients here is Bethany.
Cheers APB

It took me a few seconds to work out "SCW", now known as Fosters. Smiler

Please feel free to catch up for a drink if you are in town.

For the future DVDs I am sure out of the many good members here, someone will be able to do it. It is no big deal at all, indeed no need to copy it just watch it and send it on.

I am or will be out of the loop on it, so do not plan to get involved again.

As said before I apologise for the delay.
