I did have some deer hunting lined up for the end of this year but the shoulder surgery stuffed those plans up. I actually have some promising leads to chase up when I move to Townsville. A chital and red stag will be my goal this year and I'm even looking at trying my hand at taxidermy. Probably a boar first and some fish.

I reckon Townsville ought to be good. There are a couple game ranches in that area. Not sure what the Aussie prices would be. I would bet someplace around there has some that got out. But Australia being what it is, the piggers would have knocked them back.

Apparently lots of chital in the area. Seems they are spreading out from Charters Towers.

Buffalo with Eddie Clark of Australian Outback Buffalo Safaris. It is my first trip to your fine country, and I am reading everything I can get my hands on about the Top End. And I am a bird guy, so I am studying my bird book as well.

For hunts? Zilch!
Going in for a third belly opening Jan 7th.
Tumor on my pancreas this time, something to be worried about. So far I'm not yet though.

Wish you all the best with the hunts.
George

Pretty hopefull on a trip to the Chatham Islands , which is well east of NZ towards Chile. They have wild Spanish Merino , wild pigs and wilder cattle . Also great fishing , the diving is ok if you like sharks .

Wifes cousin has just taken a 2 year work contract there so thats an added incentive to go visit.

Argentina is on the books too , but probably two years away .

My sincere best wishes, George. I found out a week ago Wednesday that my colon cancer has now started to take up residence in my lungs, so we are going to determine what to do next.

Like you, I am not afraid. (Maybe I am too stupid?) It is what it is.

Two things on my '16 bucket list, to take a sambar, hind or stag I really don't care, and the wheels are in motion for a trip to the Brisbane valley to see if I can put a red stag on the ground.

Doubless:
At least mine turned out not to be cancer.
Sure one hell of a trip though. 20 days now and still weak as can be. Mostly sleeping, getting lots of that in. Just weak and no desire yet. Still in the time frame where I'd rather be sleeping than be up.

Took out my gall bladder, packed full of sand, spleen and half my pancreas along with the tumor.

Thanks guys, appreciate knowing some folks care.
George

Posted above in the "What's plans for '16"

Ten days ago the belly scar started leaking fluid. Just typical juice. Til Wed. Washing it out and saw a half inch hole in the damned thing. Been trying to get it to close, even twice with Super Glue as they use that on such things. Nothing has worked.

ER visit today: Cat scan again! Big pocket of pus under the lower Left ribs. Insisted I stay for 36 hours of IV meds. I just couldn't do it. Had a dog locked in the house and NO ONE to take care of her. My sitter took off to Nevada last night, won't be back til Sat now.

Am fully expecting to make a trip to Denver next week and have this belly opened again and cleaned out. When health takes a shit, we're fk'd mates. OR that's the way it's been for me since March '12. One thing after another.

I truly believe all the xrays and CT's etc caused that tumor. Prove it they say. Now this infection, damn!

Anyway, gonna stay pilled up hard til I run out or double up from pains, then will get thy arse to the ER again.

Hang in there Doubless:
Lost the wife Oct '03 to colon cancer. I had Chron's hit me in '12. Life is miserable with this belly bag. No colon now at all. No ass hole either. Been trying my best to change my attitude but, shit just don't cooperate.

Hold the fort guys,
George
