Did they give a reason?

I would suggest it is someone there who is just being a cock or trying to uphold that old regulation.

Do you have the opportunity to dispute/protest or has it been sent back? If you can get it looked at by someone else and they should let it through.

Cheers
Matt

I import from time to time but once customs clear it , it then becomes domestic and they cannot send it back but if they do put a claim in

I would have thought that once Customs clears it, it should have been fine.
I heard yesterday from another guy in the club that he has had this happen too.
A bridge mount and rings, of all things.

Spoke with the Postmaster today ... they've received no notification of a change whereas last time they'd had a fax.
Cheers...
