I'll be headed out in five days, my first trip to Australia. Doing a non-trophy buffalo hunt then a little fishing, want to experience all I can while there.

Best of luck mate.

A mate of mine has just told me he's shagging his girlfriend and her twin. I said "How can you tell them apart?" He said "Her brother's got a moustache!"

Barry Seabrook, Gun Smoke Adventures in the North. I sure plan on doing a report to hold the guilty accountable. I'm extremely excited, looks like it will be quite a bit different than Africa.

Enjoy the experience. Yes, it will be different from Africa...not better, nor worse.....just different. Take a bird book along. Enjoy a meal at one of the open air bars along Mitchell Street. We ate at the Monsoon Bar and Grill on two consecutive nights, and the meals were fantastic. Drink a beer or two because the Aussies sure do. Hanuman's Restaurant gets rave revues, but we were disappointed with it. Take a stroll through Centennial Park. Walk to the Botanical Gardens. Stroll along Mindil Beach, and if you are there on Thursday or Sunday night enjoy the foods. I could go on and on..... Oh, don't forget, you also have a wonderful hunt in your future. As I stated in my hunt report, scrub bulls are underrated animals and I would highly recommend hunting one on foot. Good luck and enjoy your flights. Blake

Blake, I hope to get a shot at one of those hogs. There will be a chance. I have a couple days of fishing scheduled after the hunt so I'll get to see that part of the country.

NO!

or three or four or five or six..... As we were receiving our boarding passes for our flights home, the Qantas agent informed us that he had to get verbal confirmation that we had processed our rifles through Customs before he could check-in the rifle case. On the walk down to the office, I was talking with him about how, in contrast to Americans, the Australian drinkers seem to control their intake and don't get crazy drunk like some Americans. He began to laugh and simply stated, "You just did not stay up late enough to see it."

Aint that the truth..Aussies love their beer for sure.

One of our cricketers famously drank two slabs (48 cans) on the flight to the UK.
I know fellas that have or could have done the same.

BUT..its no fugging good for you in big quantities.

If this was Merve Hughes, I sat next to him on a flight to Melbourne once, and he was so hungover he sat forward with his head in his hands the whole flight over. Only during the landing did he raise his head and I saw it was Hughes. Wink
