Hi Folks,

Thought some might find this interesting. I've had an aussie hunt album posted on webshots for a while but I recently added a neat (I think) video of a shot on a buff.

Buff shot video

For those on dial-up it is 1.7mb.

Bugle... It is a 375 H&H.

It is very difficult to see because of the low quality of the download, but if you watch the slow motion VERY CLOSELY several times, you will see something streaking out the end of the barrel towards the buff. I think it may be a glint from the bullet, and then immediately after that a fireball of unburned powder corkscrews off to the left. Much easier to see in the original footage.

No follow up needed on that one. Did it tear up the skull? This hunt is on my short list.

Yukon,

Not at all, Just a .375 hole between the eyes, easily covered for the pics with just a touch of dirt. They have a massively thick skull. The Barnes bullet was found right at the back of the head.

The bullet is shown on the right, it started out at 270gr.

It is the one on the left, you can see the dark spot between the eyes.

Thanks. I've always thought it would be a great hunt.

Great video and those buff look like they would make an amazing euro mount!

The next trip I make to the Gold Coast to see the in-laws I am going to have to arrange a hunt and leave the wife and kids on the beach.

Thanks for sharing.
