The spin on the news here of the cricket would be one that Shane Warne would be jealous of.

To be honest, I think that they should just give the Ashes to Australia, and never ask for them back.

Think that happened a few years back Paul - you are now just watching the results of another Gov sponsored 'back to work' program.

Well they tryed to get cricket going in Canada some time back. The players were mostly ice hockey players and baseball players. One of the bowlers hit a batsman in the head and the hockey guys all dropped the gloves and got into a big fist fight (as ice hockey players tend to do) and they had to call the match.

I guess for a gentleman's game you have to find enough gentleman to field a couple of teams. Thats why they don't play cricket in USA and Canada.

Congrats to all my Ausie friends on recent ashes victory. I was looking at the pictures and Fletcher looked like the guy who was about to get fired.

On a second thought Fletcher IS the guy who is about to get fired Smiler

Bit like the poms bowling a "wide" on the second last ball that Gilchrist had to break the World record fastest test century eh ? boohoo

The hunting imperative was part of every man's soul; some denied or suppressed it, others diverted it into less blatantly violent avenues of expression, wielding clubs on the golf course or racquets on the court, substituting a little white ball for the prey of flesh and blood.

Frowner Not unexpected from an aussie, but a dark day in sporting history, none-the-less.
