Have we started to use this yet in Australia? I don't do any wingshooting so it doesn;t effect me but I remember Nick Harvey writing something a while ago about an eminent lead shot ban as the yanks have for certain applications.
Has this happened yet does anyone know?

Karl as far as I'm aware there is a blanket bann in vic with most states to follow soon (next 2 years). Pushing this law started with Lead Education and Abatement Design "LEAD" as well as animal liberation groups (I use to do battle with this group from 1985 to 1994 durring duck season) thats about as much as I know of I might be a bit behine the times. I can check with my old hunting mates down in NSW tonight for you.

Yep we sure as hell have to I think it started in the NT then SA now Vic if you have never used it it is shocking stuff I have yet to kill one duck outright with steel I have hit then real hard and seen then go done looking like they had been hit by a mack truck only to have then "recover" and fly away with semmingly little effects if you can find it and afford it shoot bismuth it works the same as lead, doesn't hurt your gun either
