It is a great looking gun...............if I had one criticism it is that to my eye the en-graving looks a little to busy and the buff on the floorplate did not do much for me either.

I know nothing about engraving but from what I have seen it seems hard to pull of the "änimal" scenes.

I would rather pay $15K for a new JoHanson then pay $8K for a new Mauser.

I don't see the Mauser being worth $8K.

The Heym is only $4K and it's an nice rifle. You can spend $8K with George and get a hell of a nice Empire action mauser.

Just don't get the $8K for a new Mauser company rifle.

That German custom mauser is nice, but is it $30K nice? Only you can answer that question for yourselves.

No its not a nice mauser for the money. I can have something built for half the price that would shame that and anything from H&H.

333_OKH,

That top photo is the 9.3x62(U.S.$4000.) from http://www.hallowellco.com I agree much nicer rifle.

That rifle below with " mauser" on the ring, who is it made by? is that the new Sig mauser?
Is that Rib Integral? Even thats a much nicer rifle. Does seem to have a few folding sights though, one more and it could pass as a rollercoaster car or a row of seats in a picture theatre Wink But I still like it.
