As a ball-park figure, does anyone know what a 'smith will charge to remove the original blue, clean up some surface rust and minor rust-pits and reblue an action? Also has anyone had a "bead blasted" matte blue finish applied to a firearm that can comment on how good or bad it looks? Maybe provide a picture?
Cheers...

PC,
Slow but steady. All the pieces have been collected and a new recoil lug made. Once Bob's back from Africa, I'll drop some Capstick dummies to him and then he can begin putting it all together. Still not certain on a barrel contour though... What project's do you have up your sleeve? I've just picked up a M70 Featherweight which I'll rebarrel etc... later in the year to either 250 Savage or 257 Roberts, and see if I can get the missus interested in a spot of shooting. If she doesn't bite, gun will have to become mine!
Cheers...
