| I just had my hands on the Baikal 30-06 sxs last week. It was $1050CND I think I will get one. In fact I would have bought that one but it had one of the uglyest and dark (almost black) stocks I have ever seen.
Does anyone know what the 45-70 will be regulated for? |

| Cleavers had an ad in Sporting Shooters stating "taking orders now" before Christmas. I rang them and they said the Remington rep was going to make an announcement at the Safari Club show at Coffs Harbour when they would arrive. Not a word was said. I rang them again the other day and they said "very soon". I have spoken to my local gunshop and in fact one of the guys rang Raytrades top honkies and they said "end of Feb". I won't be holding my breath waiting for them. Mind you I put in a PTA for one, so I'm ready. Malcolm |

| She's a fine looking gun especially for the money. I noticed that it's rated for 28,000 psi/cup loads which is on the low end so not up to the Marlin rated loads which sounds a tad conservative since it's also chambered in 30-06. Might be fun to ream out to 45/110 and load up using 777 powder loads. Barrel regulation is adjustable by the shooter which sounds great for your custom loads. Can't wait until they finally arrive. http://www.spartangunworks.com/spr22.htm
