I am going to be going to New Zealand later this year for 3 weeks and was wondering if there is a web site on laws and seasons for big game there? Though about a Red Stag hunt if possible. Anyone you would recommend getting in touch with? Lawdog

Only Seasons on Gamebirds ( 1st weekend in May till mid August for the latest season end ) and Trout/Salmon fishing - some areas are all year round , others are 1st October till end of March .

Red deer stags are in the mating mode at present so you really need to be here now .....

Antlers are cast mid-September and are not really in full hard antler untill January or so .Do you want a free-range, fair chase hunt or a guaranteed great head from a farm reared and enclosure style hunt ? Choice is yours entirely , either are available depending on the size of your wallet .
