If I read their regs right no piece of checked baggage can exceed 62" length plus width plus height of bag.

The Tuff Pak is approx. 72". Has anyone had a problem with the Tuff Pak on international flights?

From yon far country blows:
What are those blue remembered hills,
What spires, what farms are those?
That is the land of lost content,
I see it shining plain,
The happy highways where I went
And cannot come again.

Allen

In case you dont know - when you have your itinerary done, send an email to Qantas Dangerous Goods (dgenquiries@qantas.com.au) and give them your rifle and ammo details and they will email you back a simple permit by email - that helps smooth things over at the Qantas check-ins.

Where you hunting out here?

Cheers
Matt

If you have a stop off in Singapore, even a touch down for fuel, you'll also need to get the Singapore permits sorted out....

You also will have to have your gun permit number to be able to apply for the hazardous good permit, "Ammo".

Matt
I just got my approval to carry firearms and ammunition letter back from Mr. Willoughby of Qantas today. This was after I sent the Northern Territory Police firearm license number to him.

This hunting in another county (any of them not just Australia) is getting to where you almost need a secretary to keep track of the paperwork.

I am hunting in the Arnhem Land somewhere about a 2 hr drive from Bulman with Graham Williams.

Thanks everyone for the info.
