just got the sights zeroed and test fired with Necked sized FC cases, 155 grain palma, 56 grains of IMR 4350: Any suggestions for improvment: first group from reloads:
Looks like a slight bedding problem. I bought a post 64 30-06 Target that was touching the stock at one side of the barrel. Did a glass bedding job, and scraped off the tight spot in the foreend. Shot pretty good but developed a helluva flinch from shooting 190 gr BTs at a 1000 yd prone match. Rebarreled to 6mm Rem with a 8" twist barrel fromPac-Nor. Shoots 105 gr Lapua into the x ring, if the wind don't blow. Do the dollar bill test down the forend gap, and see if there isn't a tight spot. Mine was very visible, with a bigger gap on one side of the barrel-I think the wood wasn't dry enuf when Win inletted it in '69.
elmer, nothing wrong with that group except that one flyer, she''s showing that she and you can and do get along great shooting are you going to scope her? thanks for the picture regards jjmp
