Hi, I've, since +15 years, a Custom Rem.700 cal. 308W with a Shilen 1/10 barrel that I seldom use. I've recently installed a better scope on it and I want to see what the rifle (and I) can do at 200 and 300 meters. Which bullet weight/brand would you suggest me? Thanks.

good choice, another would be the Sierra MatchKing 155gr Palma Bullet. Walt Berger designed some very accurate bullets in 30 caliber.
I think it is www.bergerbullets.com

I also have a .308 Shilen 1/10 that is 28" long. It likes the Sierra 175 match just a little bit better than the 168 and 190.
A friend of mine has some Lost River 175s but has not loaded them yet. They look very slick.

+1 these have been very accurate in a 1 in 10 308 I've been load working this fall. 45.8 RL15 has been the charge in lapaua brass with CCI BR2 primers. An OCW load and shoots well at any OAL but were tightest at .006 off lands.

Good Shooting! Dave

If the optimal twist for the .308 with 168 grain bullets is 1 in 11, then a 1 in 10 would just love the 175 to 185 grain weight match bulets from either Sierra or Lapua. Since you are in Europe I'd add that V V 540 or 550 would be an excellent palce to start for powder.
