Big Don: If your Sako 270 only shoots 1.5 to 2.5 inch groups at 100 yards I would suggest that you work on some load development to tighten those 100 yard groups first. Are you shooting factory ammo or reloading your own. I had a new Remington 243 that shot 1.5" at 100 yards with factory Remington ammo but worked up reloads were .5" and less. Keep us informed. I would agree , your 100 yard groups are in my book unacceptable, I shoot a savage 110 270 with IMR 4895 powder and 130 grain nosler ballistic tip boat tail bullets. Well within the 1 inch group if I do my part. Most people are link slinkies, Basically useless but fun to push down the stairs.

Stick with the 150 grainers but come off of the 7828. Try working up a load with IMR-4350. Works great in my 270 with 150s. Free men should not be subjected to permits, paperwork and taxation in order to carry any firearm. NRA Benefactor
