Mike, Norma brass normally fits Sako PPC factory chambers unturned - as opposed to (fireformed) Lapua .220 Russian, which has to be turned. Needless to say, you have to verify this is the case for *your* chamber. Measure ouside neck diameter of a case fired in your chamber, and compare to neck diameter of a Norma case with a bullet seated. If the fired case is at least .002" larger than the loaded round, you are good to go without turning. You probably know this, Sako stopped manufacturing all PPC related items (guns, brass, ammo) a while ago. So if it must be Sako, you are likely looking on the "second hand" market. Even factory Norma is not always easy to find... Cabela's lists it as in stock, though... http://www.cabelas.com/prod-1/0018734213619a.shtml - mike ********************* The rifle is a noble weapon... I'm in the same boat as the OP, I have an older Wichita built in .22 PPC, fortunately I still have about 250 pieces of twice fired Sako brass, but sure would like to find more. mho, just last night I was on Sako's site and they show both .22 PPC brass and loaded ammo, unfortunately I do not believe anyone is importing this into the US. I may do a bit of research and see what it would cost to bring some in, I have a friend in Finland that I'm sure would cooperate. I'm not in need at the moment, but I'm going to being some research and if it isn't cost prohibitive and a paperwork nightmare, it may be the way to go. I understand the Sake brass is qute a bit better than the soft Norma brass, and I'd rather not subject my barrel to the additional wear caused when fire forming the excellent Lapua brass. | |||
