I want to build a permanent shooting bench, yet I cannot find any plans for such. Lots of portable stuff out there, but nothing I consider permanent. Was wondering if you folks would share your ideas. Thanks

My "pemnanent" shooting bench is a heavy picnic table such as one can buy at Lowe's, Home Depot, etc. I move it when I need to mow the grass. I used a hole saw to cut a hole in the top of a size that allows me to put in a large umbrella if the sun is too uncomfortable or to keep the rain off if I'm so desperate I have to shoot in the rain.
