Guys here is Bud Anderson's written account of the same dog fight. Much more scary with more detail.

Mild hijack-

Here is the only known footage of a Battle of Britain dogfight shot from the ground:

mms://212.58.224.52/news/media/news_web/video/41144000/bb/41144739_bb_16x9.wmv

You might have to cut and paste it, and you might get a warning message too but it works for me.

for every hour in front of the computer you should have 3 hours outside

Look like they used IL2 to make the footage.
IL2 Sturmovik
It's a great game by the way. More addictive than drugs. When I'm not here on AR im flying IL2 in Hyper Lobby. Big Grin

We actually had a WWII P47 pilot flying with us several years ago but I think that he has passed away.

Try to look unimportant. Your enemy might be low on ammo.

Anderson's a remarkable pilot and a remarkable man. It's a pleasure to read his words.

Bud Anderson was interviewed for the History Channel Dogfight program. He was a very down to earth sounding guy for someone that Chuck Yeager called the best fighter pilot he ever saw.
