I haven't noticed a post from him in quite some time. I hope that he pissed of a mod, and got banned, rather than anything being seriously wrong with him.

The "hope" is correct.

Not sure what the reason was, but he did have opinions!

I was riding my Harley down near Deland one evening and we went to supper. Absent the old age stuff we all have, he was doing fine physically. Tough old bird... Qualified and flew 747's with one eye... Once flying pilot/left seat with only a left eye working and the co-pilot in the right seat had only his right eye.

I guess that'd work???

What are the odds of that happening again? And could they trade seats legally?

The man had amazing experiences flying Africa in real "hot spots"...

Why's he gone... I guess he might have engaged his keyboard before he retracted the flaps once too often.

JudgeG ... just counting time 'til I am again finding balm in Gilead chilled out somewhere in the Selous.

Thanks,
Upon re-reading my post, I realize that it may seem like I was hoping that he got banned. This is not the case. I was merely preferring that being banned was the reason for his absence, rather than him having syphilis, or died. I've always enjoyed his posts. beer

He's still sending out emails, and "tweeting" as of 2 minutes ago.

It's pretty friggining AMAZING to me that a guy like Jetdrvr gets banned but the staff allows a Shootaway to continue on unchecked in all his glory and extreme exploitation of otherwise needed O2 molecules.

+1,000!

I really enjoyed reading Jetdrvr's posts. He was one unique guy.

I wish the guys who get banned in the political forum would only be banned from posting in the political forum.

Hunting in Africa is an adventure. The number of variables involved preclude the possibility of a perfect hunt. Some problems will arise. How you decide to handle them will determine how much you enjoy your hunt.

Just tell yourself, "it's all part of the adventure." Remember, if Robert Ruark had gotten upset every time problems with Harry
Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby. But Ruark rolled with the punches, poured some gin, and enjoyed the adventure.

Yes, he was banned. I'm friends with him on Facebook. He told me a few months back when the topic of AR came up, that he indeed did get banned. But yea, he seems to be doing fine, still stirring the pot from time to time!
