Do you have the figures for speeds, service ceilings, bomb loads and ranges. I'll bet the differencs are even more impressive.


JudgeG ... just counting time 'til I am again finding balm in Gilead chilled out somewhere in the Selous.

According to this source, B-29 had a lot more speed, less service ceiling (hard to believe that), lots more range, lots more weight, not much more bomb load.

I worked on and crewed on B-29s and B-50s when I was in the Air Force at the end of the Korean war.
Wonderful airplanes......as I recall the difference was larger engines on the 50.
