First time I have watched/listened to one of these with ear buds in and turned up.

The ROAR of those engines/motors (sinceionly one is likely correct and the grammar cops can choose the correct one) is unbelievable.

Seems there is something like 3.5 million pounds of fuel consumed on a launch.

Probably more hearing damage than from all of the shooting over the last year. Oh wait I have been shooting mostly air gun!

Only thing missing is the ground shaking and the feel of that much sound.

I seem to remember someone here (or at least used to be here) was present for those.

Louis, sorry for the hearing loss, amigo. Try to have a better rest of 2016. And I agree, you need to have your sternum rattling to get the full effect. I can't imagine what it must have felt like to witness a Saturn V launch.
