An interesting read indeed... Annoying that there is so much redaction... I must point out that much of the redaction is pointless as much of the redacted material can be inferred by context... Like the redactions discussing movement of aircraft from Lockheed Palmdale to the Nevada test site... If I provoke you into thinking then I've done my good deed for the day! My youngest Son was a U2 crewchief for about 20yrs. His last few years before retirement was at the Lockheed rebuild facility in Palmdale. His retirement in the facility at Palmdale.  I have one of the windscreens and the American flag that they gave him when his plane set a weight-altitude World Record. His wife was secretary to the squadron commander. The squadron commander was the test pilot after the rebuilds were completed. Unfortunately they both have good paying jobs at Northrup in the same area. He was my hunting and fishing buddy in the old days. | |||
