Yes indeed. I just viewed that on MSN. Hard to understand how the pilot of the single engine aircraft did not see the B17. I guess he was in a hard bank and the bomber was blanked out of his vision.

I thought about that too. His view may have been obstructed by the nose of his aircraft. Could have been reacting to something one of the two P51s did, medical or mechanical problem, etc. I am confident the NTSB won’t be calling me for input. Nonetheless, a very tragic accident that will scar the memories of many that were in attendance, especially friends and family. RIP.
