In the days of the analog 3 watt cell phones, we could hear them on the radios on the B-727 when they were talking. Ipads are well filtered and have been approved for cockpit use. Two or 200, it does not matter.

Part of the problem is the unknown. Airplanes are becoming more and more electric. We are becoming more and more electric. There are so many new electro gadgets that it is impossible to tell which one will cause a problem. I have an iPad with Foreflight and it is awesome. Doesn't seem to affect my KX170's. One thing the article doesn't mention is the FCC rules are what IIRC make it illegal to use a cell phone in flight (not non-transmitting devices). So technically I need to have my iPad in airplane mode when flying my Cherokee. x2. FAA wants all electrics off on takeoff and landing. FCC wants all cell phones off when airborne if I understand the convoluted rules.
