Looks like Thrust is the major component of success here. Needs a lot of oomph to get airborne on short, rocky runways. Very impressive.

Neat trick, but if you can't haul cargo or passengers what is the point(other than flying in for a personal hunt/prospect)?

Approximately double the gross.

Pondering that CG, especially in a cross wind.

What I have seen is that the Super Cub gross is 1500 to 2000 pounds depending on the engine configuration.

I really like that it is a twin, and I bet you could increase range without terribly hurting cruise speed by shutting one down in flight.
