Almost seven years after my flying career ending neck injury, the FAA has authorized me to receive a Special Issuance medical certificate. It's been a long time coming and I look forward to flying for fun again.

Only a BFR and updated 2th class medical exam to go...

That is great, you don't need to do a second class. A third will due, unless you plan on doing some professional flying. I would be happy to do your BFR for you but I think I am a bit to far for you. Dave you ever thought about doing some flight instruction? Its something I never stopped doing. Every now and again I even get a student that is worth the effort.

George: I have kept up my CFII for years, never know when I'll need it again, and I taught my oldest son to fly in my Stearman, even soloing him on his 16th birthday in it. I will get a second class, I might do some professional flying for a few friends and business guys I know who need competent and insurable pilots.
