Thanks Doug. I'm surprised that there is not more Brit animosity toward us Yanks due to Roosevelt's horrible delay in coming to their assistance. If not for a few skilled US men in London, working with Churchill and others, the delay would have been greater. Roosevelt was a politician above all other traits.

We get to see DeHavilland AC every day here, Beavers on floats. They fly right over my house between Lake Washington and Lake Union. They are operated by Kenmore Air Harbor, largest float plane operator in the world. They have 180's, Beavers converted to turbo, and larger Cessnas on floats, w/turbos. Approx. 10 pax.

Regards,
Brice

The British in large part picked their own poison by not being prepared. Then they got ran off of the continent. If they want it cheap they run the risk of getting their butts kicked.
Right not they do not have much of a navy. Their aircraft carriers have long been a joke and now they only have a small one serving as an assault ship. The UK will not have another carrier until 2016.
Just remember how much trouble the UK had reponding to the Falklands war.

Yes, genius, they sure did. Of course, the US would have no problem responding instantaneously to a threat 8000 miles away!!!Our aircraft carriers would just surf on over! BTW, I love the Mosquito! very attractive looking, fast and wooden!
Peter.

Be without fear in the face of your enemies. Be brave and upright, that God may love thee. Speak the truth always, even if it leads to your death. Safeguard the helpless and do no wrong;

Peter why do you feign being an American?
The UK now has zero fixed wing aircraft carriers.
Yes genius and when they got there they had relatively little air power due to the tiny air group of Harriers.
Perhaps you were just a kid then and do not know how difficult the Brits had it then. They would have even more trouble now.

A problem with liberal governments all over and to this day, spend on social benefits to purchase votes, clip defence spending and bingo, up the creek without a paddle. There is Sweden right now in a panic to build up and re-arm to counter Putin's bull shit. Cool
