First, let me tell you that I am not an aero nut, just have normal curiosity. This topic may have been aired (no pun intended) before, but anyone here I think would go nuts in this museum. It's located in McMinnville, Oregon, about 35 miles south of Portland. It is huge. It houses about 70 aircraft, including the
Spruce Goose which is 320 WT to WT and 219' long. Also an SR71 Blackbird, Titan missile, etc. You get the idea. Check out: www.sprucegoose.org.

It is about 1/2 hour from where I live. I've been there a couple of times. When I was there last, they had a p-38, p-40, p-51, corsair, me-109, spitfire, Avenger, B-17, DeHavilland Vampire, SR71, The Spruce Goose obviously...to name a few. It's a pretty cool place to check out. Also, a few hours away is another museum at Tillamook which is also interesting.
