Thats a JU 88 refitted as a torpedo bomber. The retrofitted bombay for the torpedo is the givaway. the little addition in the front of the bombay was required move the torpedo a bit forward in the in the ju88.

Try to look unimportant. Your enemy might be low on ammo.

I'm going to have to challenge that then!
1. Look at the engines- you can see the cowl flaps close the the front and you can see the pistons in RADIAL engines. Most Ju88's had liquid cooled V-12's with the radiator in front of the engine with no cowl flaps.
2. The cockpit of the JU-88 looks to me like a side by side arrangement. The posted picture looks like a tandem arrangement.
3. This site has several other pictures of the HE115 including one that looks like it was taken at the same time as the one posted- except the ground crew has moved around a little bit.
4. The fuselage looks much narrower than a JU 88.

Above pic is an He 115, in Finnish Markings...

don't see how that can be taken for a JU 88..

Kudos for Moe for knowing his Luftwaffe Birds...

of course I have millions of books on that stuff and have been pouring over it since I was 12 years old...1964...
