Unfortunately, a doctored video. But it would have been cool had it really happened... This one really did happen... F-15 Loses Wing Here's the video - Video ___________________ Just Remember, We ALL Told You So.

Looked like someone forgot to finish bolting the wing on! Fantastic flying. Better landing. Bet the gin bottle took a hit that night.

It is video of an RC airplane used in a video to dupe unsuspecting viewers. John Farner If you haven't, please join the NRA!

Yeah, Snopes says it's fake. Sorry. Here's how it was made: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=naSZBdJoEbM There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t. – John Green, author

Besides the obvious CGI poor video quality. If you've ever seen the way an airplane reacts after loosing a wing that clip is not even close to how it really looks.

an aircraft losing a wing will tend to roll towards the missing wing at the same time it will yaw away from the missing wing any control input(ailerons) to control the roll will increase the yaw, a profound case of a phenomena called "adverse yaw" If I provoke you into thinking then I've done my good deed for the day! Slide to 2:40 and watch to see what wing separation in flight looks like. As Allan said above. A profound case of adverse yaw indeed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cxqg_ub3xAw

there is another good break-up at 4:18 The most dramatic wing separations always seem to be pictures of FW190's being struck from behind in the wings outboard of the wingroot mounted synchronized cannon a 50cal AP projectile strikes ammunition in the wig and invariably one or more 20mm or 30mm rounds detonate in close proximity to the aircraft's main wing spar and the wing simply Comes off... typically producing an accelerating roll rate sufficient to spin the remainder of the aircraft into coffee cup sized pieces If I provoke you into thinking then I've done my good deed for the day!
