This bird lives in Greenwood,MS half the year and somewhere up north the other half. The Kimmels (Kimmel Aviation Insurance) are part owner so Corsair sightings are rather frequent in the MS Delta. This was my first experience with formation flying, He tucked it in nice and tight after the picture and we did a low pass over my ground crew. Neat experience!

I was lucky enough to be standing on the deck when a Corsair (Possibly this one) came over the runway at about 100 feet in Prattville, where my friend worked. He called me and told me I had to get my ass there ASAP, he knew he was coming and knew the Corsair is my favorite warbird. He was a friend of the guy (or one of the guys) who owned it. There is nothing like the feeling in my soul as that radial engine passed over, and he was moving out. Awesome. patriot

Some people are partial to Spitfires. Not me. The Corsair is my favorite. Maybe watching "Baa, Baa Blacksheep" as a little kid influenced my thinking?

I don't know. I just love that wing.
