Well I went and did it. I found a Silence-Twister airplane (kit) in Las Vegas for a good price and bought it. I'll pick it up in two weeks. I'll trailer it home from Vegas (it comes with its own enclosed trailer) to my garage. Hope to have it built and flying in a year. I'm excited. It the first airplane I've ever owned. It looks like a lot of fun and I like the idea of a single seat plane. Keep us posted with pictures of the construction process. ALLEN W. Thanks Allen. I am very excited about it. Hope my skills are up to the task of building it. I've worked with composites before, but I am not taking anything for granted. Jordan

Hey congrats Jordan! I've had a couple of homebuilts so feel free to shoot me a PM if the need arises. Did you get an engine with it? And the good thing about it taking a year (I'll be optimistic here with ya!) is that you'll be able to come up with a way cooler paint scheme than all the pansy looking planes on the silence website! for every hour in front of the computer you should have 3 hours outside

Mark: Thanks. No engine yet. I am broke after buying the plane! I'll have to save up and try and jet a Jabiru 2200 next year. No dobut you are correct that I am over-optimistic on build time. It'll probably take two years at least. And thanks for offering advise. I may take you up on that. Thanks, Jordan
