50 German Focke-Wulfs that disappeared after WWII are 'found wrapped in sheets buried under an old Turkish airport' - if it all pans out. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/new...Turkish-airport.html ___________________ Just Remember, We ALL Told You So.

An amateur aviation enthusiast believes he has found 50 Nazi warplanes buried below a Turkish airbase One can always hope! Sadly, my guess is they are stored somewhere next to the crates of that squadron of pristine Burma spitfires. for every hour in front of the computer you should have 3 hours outside

Old news. Various groups have been in negotiation with the Turks to excavate the sit, the Turkish gov refuses to move forward. Gonna take some $$$ greasing.

As I was reading the article, that's exactly what I was thinking. I hope it's true as the Focke-Wulfs were damn impressive aircraft. Could not begin to imagine what an original barn find would go for but I am sure well north of a million bucks to start... ___________________ Just Remember, We ALL Told You So.

There's one original flying A8, doubt you could buy it for $5m, belongs to one of the MS oligarchs. There are some other originals but they aren't air worthy. There is a 10 hour Flug Werke 190 for sale at $850k which is about half what it cost to build. The original engines (BMW-801) and (JUMO-213) are virtually nonexistent as are the parts.

Sounds like the same deal with the spitfires buried under an airport in Burma about 10 years ago. http://forums.accuratereloadin...8107455/m/8571033471 "Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading".
