That is a cool plane. There is a bit of a pucker factor going on some of those strips.

You have to love it when there are clouds both above and below the runway. for every hour in front of the computer you should have 3 hours outside

I'd love to fly a Pc-6. My Cessna 180 taildragger couldn't even begin to make it out of those strips. Nice to have a turbine turning the prop.

I spent a couple of years as a kid in PNG. Dad and mum got about the higlands a fair bit so went in and out of a lot of different strips. There are a few one way, one approach strips about. Makes flying fun..........sort of It was amazing what strips the old DH Caribou could operate out of. They are good videos and some strips I would not like to be flying in or out of.

Flying in a float plane in Borneo earlier this year and the pilot had spent 6 years in West Papua, some interesting stories. Said place littered with plane wrecks and they had ELB location antennae on their aircraft. Great video, thanks. Cheers, Chris DRSS

GREAT Photography....SUPER airplane. Well done, I am envious. Would like to be driving one of those in Tanzania!! Looking forward to more.... Just spent a month cruising Indonesian waters....sure looks different from the sea...although we had a great trip up into the mountains and a remote resort on one of those beautiful rivers you show!!
