Remember flying in a DC3 around 1963. The right engine kept popping back through the carbs on the taxi run to the runway. It even popped back at run up before takeoff. Made this young Army PVT very nervous.

Thanks for posting that. Those airplanes comprised the dreams of my youth. I flew DC-3's for a while, logging about a thousand hours in both sides of the cockpit, but I always wanted to but never got to fly the magnificient C-46. That is a phenominal airplane.
