Awwh crap, don't apologize Butch. We appreciate you passing along that portion of WWII memorabilia. It looks like the supercomputer crowd has still got a lot to learn from the "Greatest Generation". That aircraft spawned a whole host of future aircraft (like the C-130 Hercules)with a basic design gleaned from early seaplanes. It just goes to show what human beings can do as a team when inspired through patriotic spirit and great leadership. Thanks for sharing. Bob | |||

I was lucky enough to actually fly a B-24 back in 1969, or so?, when I visited the Confederate Air Force in Harlingen TX. After flying fighters, it seemed like controlling the thing was kind of like pushing a grocery cart backwards. JudgeG ... just counting time 'til I am again finding balm in Gilead chilled out somewhere in the Selous. | |||
