A friend sent me this link. I'm amazed at the engineering that went into this. The fact that either one can fly at all is incredible to me, but especially the B-29 with the X-1 and surviving separation.
I'm not a pilot, so maybe it's not as difficult as I think. But it still blows me away. See below:

Home-made B-29 bomber.........Wow! This is cool. This aircraft runs on four Chainsaw motors.
You can just imagine how much time, effort, skill and money these guys have put into this thing.

I don't know the story, but it looks like he lost a couple of engines or at least had some power issues.

Thanks for the postings. I've never seen this stuff before.

It's pretty bad when your own B25 tries to eat you.
